Visual calculations empower even novice Power BI users to build new calculations from any visual inside Power BI using an Excel grid-like interface. If you can write an Excel formula, you can create DAX expressions using visual calculations.

Many new Power BI users struggle to write and create DAX calculations. Even many calculations that are more complex when writing DAX expressions can easily be created using visual calculations. For example running sums, moving averages and percent of grand totals, and more are quick and easy using the Excel-like interface.
