Now that we’ve dispensed with the pleasantries, you’re probably wondering what the heck you’re supposed to do with that tenant. If so, you’re in luck, as this workshop is designed specifically for you and others who find themselves with the same basic question.

In this workshop, we approach M365 tenant administration from the perspective of someone who now has tenant administration responsibilities without necessarily knowing what that means or encompasses. We’ll spend some time learning the terminology, bounds, and different pieces of tenant administration.

We’ll also investigate how the admin experience is partially coupled to how your organization is licensed. We’ll cover what you need to do to establish your new tenant, and we’ll take a tour of the various admin surfaces available to M365 administrators.

Power BI is the gold standard for cloud-based report delivery, and forms the reporting component of Microsoft Fabric. It's very approachable - you can get up and running with it in minutes, but it's also very robust, secure and extensible. As you might expect, it has many pieces and nuances, and it's important to understand what is possible, even if you may not take immediate advantage of some features, to understand what to use when. This all day tutorial will explore the way that Power BI works, and what it can do. We will walk through its architecture, the Power BI web service, Power BI Desktop and how it works with Microsoft Excel. Then we focus on the relationship with SharePoint, what can be done in an on premises or hybrid environment and how to connect it and refresh it with all sorts of data. Finally, we will cover off how it is licensed, and a whole host of other miscellaneous topics including how it works on its own, and within Microsoft Fabric. This tutorial consists of a mix of theory and demonstrations, with emphasis on the demonstrations using real world data. It is designed for the beginner and the novice user, but even advanced users will find some nuggets of new information. Power BI is a fast moving, and ever-changing product, and this tutorial is constantly updated to reflect that. Above all we encourage questions and dialog. Code Once Use Everywhere - Using SPFx to create applications that work in Teams and SharePoint

Users are spending more and more time using Teams. It makes sense to try and reduce the friction of context switching by bringing our custom applications directly into Teams where they are working. We are able to harness the collaborative nature of Teams and SharePoint in one application and render it in many different contexts.

In this introductory developer session we will look at how to create and deploy a SharePoint Framework WebPart and have it be usable in Teams. We will use one code base to make the web part Teams aware in both a Teams Tab and a Personal App. We will look at how to use that app to read and write data into SharePoint using PnPjs.

Users will leave with an understanding of how to leverage SPFx to create applications they can use in Teams and resources on how to explore this further.
